Can the world see our song or can they only hear it?

We sing a song of victory. We sing a song of deliverance. God has saved us & brought us from darkness to light, so we sing praises to Him for it.

But do others see our song? We can live our lives with words, but what the world needs is to see our song. What we do speaks louder than what we say.

There is a lot of scriptures that tell us to praise God. Praise Him for what He has done for us. We praise Him in thanksgiving for the things He has done for us. We praise Him for His forgiveness. We sing because He has brought us out of the PIT!

Psalms 13:6

I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

Psalms 18:49

Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and praises unto thy name.

Psalms 30:4

Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Psalms 89:1

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

Don’t get me wrong we need to sing praises to the Lord for all the wonderful things He has done. But to much is given, much is required.

Luke 12:48 For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required

We need to show our song.

Jam 1:22

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only…

James 1:27 External religious worship religion as it is expressed in outward acts] that is pure and unblemished in the sight of God the Father is this: to visit and help and care for the orphans and widows in their affliction and need, and to keep oneself unspotted and uncontaminated from the world.

Our true act of worship, our true song unto the Lord is to show them the Love of God. We must take our song that we sing and put it into action. As the scripture says above our external religious worship is to visit and help the orphans and the widows. Take your song to the nations. Sing with your words and with your actions. Do your words of praise and your daily living match?

Do you only sing our song when things go right? Do you only do the word when your life is going smooth? Can they see your true song? We must take what is in our heart and show the world why we can sing in the midnight hour. Why we can have joy in the midst of the storm. We must take that song of praise and show it by our deeds.

James 2:14-19

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

So go ahead and sing. Sing out loud. The Lord has delivered you from darkness. He has brought you out of sin. You have eternal life. You were not His child and now you are His child. There is so much to praise God for, so sing your song. BUT, do not just sing with words. Let your words turn into action. Showing the world that not only does Jesus save, but He heals, He delivers, He feeds them, He cares for their daily needs. Be used of God and be not a hearer only, but a doer of the word. Let  your song of praise be put into action at all times. SING YOUR SONG UNTO GOD AND LET THEM SEE HIS WONDERFUL WORKS THROUGH YOU!!!!
