Peace I Leave You by Len Paxton

This world is in such turmoil that most people do not have peace. There are two kinds of peace I want to talk about. Peace with God and the Peace of God.  Before anyone can have true peace in there life, they have to have peace with God. Because the fall of man we were separated from God. We were without hope. When people have no hope they can not have peace. Fear takes their peace away from them. We have no hope of a better tomorrow. We have no hope that we will ever get away from our past. And forget the present to ever be good, because without peace with God, you have no hope for your today’s.

We must realize we are separated from God and his wrath abides on us if we have not believed on the Son. Through Jesus we can have Peace with God.

Jn.3:36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Jesus came so we could be reconciled with God. We can have peace with God.

Rom 5:1

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

(AMP.) 1 THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Eph 2:14

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition [between us];

(amp.) Eph 2:12-17 [Remember] that you were at that time separated (living apart) from Christ [excluded from all part in Him], utterly estranged and outlawed from the rights of Israel as a nation, and strangers with no share in the sacred compacts of the [Messianic] promise [with no knowledge of or right in God’s agreements, His covenants]. And you had no hope (no promise); you were in the world without God.

13 But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were [so] far away, through (by, in) the blood of Christ have been brought near.

14 For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us,

15 By abolishing in His [own crucified] flesh the enmity [caused by] the Law with its decrees and ordinances [which He annulled]; that He from the two might create in Himself one new man [one new quality of humanity out of the two], so making peace.

16 And [He designed] to reconcile to God both [Jew and Gentile, united] in a single body by means of His cross, thereby killing the mutual enmity and bringing the feud to an end.

17 And He came and preached the glad tidings of peace to you who were afar off and [peace] to those who were near.

We were separated and without peace with God. BUT, I like those buts. Because of Jesus and what He did at the cross we are reconciled to God. It even says that you had no hope without God. You were in the world without God. The good news is we do not have to stay that way. We can have hope and peace.

Eph 2:17

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

Col 1:20

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven.

Justifying Peace is peace with God.

Rom 5:8But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.

9 Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ’s blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God.

10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His resurrection] life.

Once we give our lives to God, through what Jesus did at the cross, we can have the peace of God.

Sanctifying Peace is the Peace of God.

God wants us to walk through life in peace. He does not want us to have turmoil in our hearts. He knows that the enemy with make each day a living hell if he can. We have the promise of God’s peace. We can have peace in our heart and in our mind. This is very important. Our minds can be full of things that will cause fear and unrest. Just watch TV for a little while and you will not have peace in your mind. You will start to worry, be in fear, & have an uneasy feeling about live. This is what Satan wants.

Phl 4:7

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

(Amp.) 4:6-9 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The peace of God heals the troubled heart & takes away fear. God wants us to walk in peace. Satan knows that if you do not have peace you will become sick in the body and mind. Sometimes people who have no peace will walk away from God. Because they blame God for everything bad that is going on in this world and they get angry with God. But Jesus came so we could have the peace of God in our lives. This world does not understand this. God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. (1 Cor. 14:33)

Jhn 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

(Amp.) Jhn 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

In this world we will have tribulation, trials, & distress, But we do not have to walk around worried and without peace. He wants us to have joy and peace everyday. Believe that!! He does not want us to live each day without hope. He has done everything for us so we can live in peace.

Rom 15:13

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Col 3:15

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

If we keep our minds on Him, he will give us perfect peace.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

We must let the peace of God rule our lives. We must walk in that peace each day. We can feel security, safety, and peace in this world when we place our faith in what Jesus did for us and have that peace that only comes from God. We can be assured that we are not alone. God is always with us. We look to Him and he will comfort us. He will give us peace. He will not forsake us. He has promised us peace with Him and He has promised us His peace. We are not of this world and we do not have to act like it. We have victory through Jesus. Do you have peace with God today? You can! Do you have the peace of God today? You can!! It is up to you. No one can make you give your life to God. No one can make you walk in the peace of God. You have to make that decision. Make that decision today. Don’t wait until you are in the hardest time of your life and they try to have peace. Father show your truth to the people who read this. Show them what it really means to have peace with you and to have your peace. Bring them to a place where this world no longer has pull in their hearts. A place where peace is real. A place where your love is so strong in them that the storms of life will not tear down the peace that only you can bring. Praise God!!!
