There are many types of Fear. There are over 180 different types of Fear.
Fear of People, Fear of death, Fear of the unknown, Fear of the future, fear of the past, fear of going crazy, fear of loss, fear of failure, and much, much more.
The origin of fear is the same, satan. The results of fear can be many different things. Fear is so big in these las days that many will not have the courage to continue. Many will even commit suicide. The bible says in Luke 21:26 that men’s hearts will fail them for fear. So weather that means they will commit suicide or their heart will stop beating, the results of fear are the same. SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT MAKE IT TO THE END. (The bible says those who endure to the end shall be saved.
Fear is an emotional response to threats and danger. Fear is often related with pain, you may have fallen in the past, so you are afraid of heights. Or you were hurt by someone or something, so now you are afraid of things and people.
Research shows that people can get sick from fear. They even say that death can come from fear. Even healthy people have been known to be “scared to death”. Fear often starts out a being concerned about something and can grow into where you are so afraid even to move. Your heart starts racing and you become sick. You can become fatigued and experience many physical symptoms in your body because of fear.
People see all the things that are going on in the earth and that fear will overcome them if they submit to it. Luke 21:9 says that people will hear (the other verse said see or looking) & they will fear, but if tells us not to become alarmed & panic stricken & terrified: for all these things must take place first…
For Christians we should have great joy because we know that Jesus will be coming soon to take us home. So rather than being terrified of what is happening in the world, we should confidently & joyfully await the return of Christ.
So in the last days DON’T QUIT, DON’T QUIT QUITTING! DON’T QUIT TURNING BACK TO GOD! DON’T QUIT REPENTING! SIMPLY DON’T QUIT.
Next, another result of fear is bondage.
Rom. 8:15 For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!
People are slaves to fear. They even serve fear. There are people who can’t even move or do what they want because fear has such a hold on them, they can only move as fear moves them. Fear imprisons, fear paralyzes, and much more.
Fear has torment.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Fear respects no one. Many people from all walks of life live in fear. Fear strikes the mind and holds it captive so you will not be effective for God or man. Fear can paralyze someone so much that they will not do the things God has planned for them. Fear breaks communion with God. A fearful person cannot live in the presence of God. And that is satan’s ultimate goal, is to get you so fearful that you will not be with, experience, or even turn to God at any moment in time.
Men in the bible had results of fear, but they knew if they turned to God, they would be set free. See here that it made him suffer in his body.
Isaiah 21:3-5
3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
4 My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.
Fear NOT, for I am with thee:
Isaiah 35:4
Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:13
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
Isaiah 43:1
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
Isaiah 43:5
Fear not: for I am with thee…
Isaiah 44:8
Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
We will talk more at another time what our response to fear should be, but just remember that Fear is a Spirit, it is from Satan, & God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. He wants you to walk with Him without any hindrances. He wants you free. That is why Jesus came. Without Jesus you do not have any hope.
Ephesians 2:12
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world…
So do not act like you are like those without hope. You have the one who created the world behind you and in you. He is your strength! He is your hope! He will not leave you, not forsake you!! Look to Him!! Be FREE!!
Thank you. I really needed to read that this morning. Because I so want to be free from the bondage of satan’s lies! Somehow I always fall back into believing them though. I want to believe I will be free from condemnation, shame, guilt, all these other things but the moment I think I am free they always seem to creep back into my life. I know God does not want me to live a life like this, but I have done everything I know to do. I just don’t know what else is inside of me that God wants me to get out.
Nice post! Thanks for the info… Have a nice day!
I must admit that i have being taken down from fear and i know that Satan is all behind this .Sometimes when fear comes it feels like you so disconnected to GOD and also feel so guilty of why you are allowing this to happen .I especially like the response of “So in the last days DON’T QUIT, DON’T QUIT QUITTING! DON’T QUIT TURNING BACK TO GOD! DON’T QUIT REPENTING! SIMPLY DON’T QUIT”
I know that turning to GOD is what i need to do and also that i never should ever give up .I pray for all of us that we can break this prison as this is all lies from Satan wanting to break us ,but in actual fact i have never prayed, read the bible or build an relationship with GOD so much and this giv3es me hope that God is bringing me through ,evens though i still am fearing of the unreality !
I have been hearing a lot of fear from folks and I thought I would write something about it, and then I thought I should find something on the effects of fear and I found this. It really fills out what I wrote. Thank you so much!!
Thanks Linda…Fear can really stop people from moving forward…GBU
Would you agree that if one had a traumatic fearful experience in their past, which has shaped them, the origin of this fear must be addressed, even mourned if you have lost your life in the middle of it. Then accept it as a loss and forgive any person, places, and things associated with your loss? i believe this to be so. i have lived the majority of my life consumed in serios dibilitating fear and blaming myself. Turns out, I found out, that when i was in my mothers womb, my father attempted to abort me, he also beat my mother during pregnancy. i believe that i lived in terror before ever born. my mother was also a very fearful woman all her life. To go back an look at these sins, mourn my loss, and forgive the ones associated is a healing, and freeing experience.
We agree, glad you are able to embrace forgiveness. You are on the right track and with the Lord’s help there is total healing for you…
